Hey Gang:

I'm about to build a bridge shaping and drilling jig using John How's excellent tutorial in the Jigs section. What is the standard size for drilling the pin holes? I'm gonna go buy some drill bushings and want to make sure I get the right size. I'm building dreads if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance!

I think it is 3/16". But I'm not 100% sure.

I use the 3/16 bushings (available @ LMII) and they work fine for most pins however check your pins first as you don't want the hole too big. You still have to taper them with a reamer. Usually I'll just get a couple turns of the reamer to get a good fit of the pin in the hole.

Thanks guys!

Checked the size I'll be using, looks like 3/16 will be the ticket.

Thanks again!

John:

Did I read here once that you no longer use this system? If so, can you elaborate on why. Thanks.

Bill
